Gold Credit Union is seeking a Full Time Risk and Compliance Manager

Risk and Compliance Manager – FT

Role:

Responsible for establishing and maintaining an ongoing compliance program and compliance training program for all officers and employees. Must also write and update compliance policies and procedures as required and provide necessary supervision and review of all audits performed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements and maintains the periodic internal audits.
  • Oversees the risk/audit department: hires, reviews, schedules, trains, directs, and monitors the work of direct reports; conducts performance reviews; allocates resources to meet operational needs within the department; reviews and approves, denies, or modifies department recommendations from subordinates.
  • Create and continually maintain the credit union’s compliance program and procedures.
  • Responsible for the implementation of new regulations or changes to existing regulations.
  • Assist in updating and reviewing policies and procedures based on regulatory changes, internal audits and examinations by regulatory agencies.
  • Review and approve all forms and advertisements that have been created or purchased prior to finalization.
  • Establish and maintain an ongoing compliance training program.
  • Provide input on new product development, changes in products and advertising.
  • Serves as a member of the Asset/Liability Committee and the Safety and Security Committee.
  • Serves as BSA Officer and Security Officer.
  • Serves as liaison with regulators, examiners, auditors and Supervisory Committee.

Expectations:

  • To review regular audits of all appropriate areas to determine the degree of compliance with various laws.
  • To report to the Supervisory Committees and other managers as appropriate.
  • To ensure all activities within the department are carried out with accuracy and within prescribed time frames.
  • To maintain a cohesive, highly trained and motivated staff, sufficient to meet daily department demands.
  • Note observations of employee performance. Complete performance reviews within the prescribed timeframe.
  • To develop recommendations for cost efficiencies and enhancements to products, pricing, and processes.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience               Two years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education                 A college degree.
