Loan Associate – Full Time

GOLD Credit Union is seeking an experienced and detailed-oriented Loan Associate to assist Loan Officers in discussing client’s needs, recommending the best loan products, and helping customers put together a complete loan package. Starting hourly rate between $13.42 and $16.77, commensurate with experience. Email cover letter and resume to awilson@pplgold.org

Role:

Provide support to lending activities within the Credit Union, ensuring compliance with Credit Union lending policies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Loan Officers and VP of Lending.
  • Process loan applications, post, closing, process paid loans.
  • Organize and maintain loan files
  • Prepares loan documents and reports.
  • Cross-sell other credit union services.
  • Process loan related transactions, recordings, satisfactions and other transactions.
  • Maintain loan logbooks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Provide friendly, professional, timely, personal service to all members.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.
  • Ensure all approved loans comply with established loan standards and are accurate.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of credit union products and services, especially loan products and services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the betterment of the member.
  • Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience         Six months to one year of similar or related experience.

Education           A high school diploma or GED.

Other                  Calculator and computer skills.  Must be good with detail.  Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Familiarity with consumer lending laws and regulation preferred.  Exerts up to 50 pound of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.  Requires close visual acuity.
