Member Service and Operations Manager

Atlantic Federal Credit Union is seeking a Member Service and Operations Manager 

Atlantic Federal Credit Union currently has the following exempt position available in our Kenilworth office:

 Member Service and Operations Manager -  full time exempt position

 Core competencies include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manage staff to provide support for “front line” processing and insure compliance with banking/credit union regulations while monitoring member accounts for Fraud and Compliance Issues.
  • Manage staff and Supervisor on handling member account issues and identifying the member’ needs and long-term financial goals. Educate the staff on recognizing the potential product and service solutions.
  • Manage testing life cycle for all Operations job functions when release updates are installed by IT for Core (Spectrum) software releases.
  • Manage staff and Supervisor to handle scheduling & coverage of staff to handle the business needs.
  • Manage staff and Supervisor to handle all areas of back office processing including:
  • Resolution of Fraud complaint both via deposits and Visa Debit Credit including submitting Bond Claims to insurer.
  • The life cycle process regarding vehicle titles, GAP claims, Mechanical brake down claims, Credit Life and Disability Claims and any other insurance related questions.
  • Same day ACH processing.
  • The life cycle process of filing SARs and CTRs.
  • The decedent death process and disbursement of funds life cycle.
  • The processing of mail.
  • The processing of back office member transactions up to and including all back-off exception processing.
  • The dormant account and escheat life cycle for member accounts.
  • Record retention.
  • Vendor management.
  •  BSA Compliance Manager – Fiserv AML Manager administrator.
  • NMLS administrator.
  • Provide compliance and Operations reports to management, supervisory committee and board.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Skill Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in managing staff (ie. performance, disciplinary actions, career development, etc.)
  • At least five (5) years prior Financial institution experience with similar job functions. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written communications), active listening, positive attitude, deportment.
  • Proficient in computer software MS Excel and Word with the ability to learn new software programs as required.
