S2155 Implementation Hearing Set for Tuesday

A Senate Banking Committee hearing entitled “Implementation of the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection (S. 2155)” is now set for Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m.

NCUA Chairman McWatters will testify on the status of NCUA implementation of relevant statutory provisions of S. 2155. In addition to McWatters, the committee will hear from leaders from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Federal Reserve Board of Governors and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

The hearing will be live-streamed on the committee’s Web site.

On Thursday, the committee will conduct a hearing on ways to combat money laundering and other forms of illicit finance with representatives from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), FBI and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency testifying.
