Mid-term Election Analysis Provided to CU Advisory Board, P&L Updates and Advocacy Training Available to Member CUs

The New Jersey Credit Union League (NJCUL)'s Vice President of Corporate and Governmental Affairs Chris Abeel spoke on the potential impact to credit unions of the recent mid-term elections here in New Jersey and nationally at Thursday’s meeting of Visions FCU’s NJ-West Advisory Board.

Abeel reviewed key races in New Jersey and the League’s campaign-related activities, the resulting changes to the state’s next congressional delegation, likely committee assignments and leadership changes, as well as issues expected to be the focus of the Senate Banking and House Financial Services committees for the upcoming 116th Congress.

The League schedules regular Political & Legislative Update webinars for members and also offers in-person updates and advocacy training for individual credit unions and their boards. Any NJCUL member credit union interested in scheduling an update or advocacy training should contact Chris Abeel at cabeel@njcul.org or 800-792-8861, ext. 127.
