2019 HMDA Reporting Thresholds and Partial Exemptions

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Changes to the criteria requiring credit unions to record and report data under the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) became effective January 1, 2019. Other recent changes added partial exemptions from HMDA’s requirements for certain transactions.

Credit unions with more than $46 million in assets must collect data on 2019 transactions if they meet certain activity thresholds. However, you may not need to collect or report certain data with respect to closed-end mortgage loans and open-end lines of credit.
