RUNNEMEDE, N.J. – Nearly 90 students at the Mary E. Volz Middle School took part in the school’s second Reality Fair.
The students met in the school’s gym for the Fair and were briefed on the experience. They were then set free to use their customized budget worksheets to make financial, lifestyle choices while visiting the available booths.
With a little help from credit union volunteers from the League and Credit Union of New Jersey, the sponsoring credit union South Jersey Federal Credit Union, and their community partners, students made life choices, filling out their budget worksheets, then sitting down with financial counselors to go over the experience.
Mary E. Volz Middle School staff also volunteered and helped students with their Reality Fair experience by helping man the Reality Fair booths, serve as financial counselors, and guide students through the experience.
