Staff personnel from all five credit union branches located in Northfield, Galloway, Hamilton Mall, Rio Grande and the William J. Hughes Technical Center graciously participate in quarterly fundraising opportunities by wearing jeans to work on “Jean Fridays”. Each staff member gives a small donation to support children and their families who are struggling in the communities the credit union serves.
Jersey Shore FCU CEO Jim Burns expressed, “In today’s economic times, contributions such as proceeds from ‘Jean Fridays’ makes an incredible difference in providing a safe and supportive atmosphere for families to discuss their pain and grief at no cost for children and their families who attend the bereavement programs.”
The Alcove Center for Grieving Children & Families Director of Clinical Services Karly King stated, “It is vitally important to provide support programs so that every parent who is struggling with how to help their child through a loss, always has a place to turn. We are grateful for the staff at Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union for generously raising $580 by wearing jeans to work on Friday from January through March. This outpouring of love enables the Alcove Center to continue its mission in bereavement support services for children and their families.”
