Credit Union of New Jersey Chairman Gary Chizmadia Re-Appointed to Serve on CUNA’s Volunteer Leadership Committee

MADISON, Wis. – Credit Union of New Jersey Chairman Gary Chizmadia has re-joined CUNA’s Volunteer Leadership Committee for another year. CUNA recognized Chizmadia’s commitment to the success and advancement of our industry. Chizmadia was re-appointed to the Committee by CUNA Chairman Maurice Smith and President/CEO Jim Nussle.

Chizmadia will serve a one-year term.

The Committee’s purpose is to assist in the development of CUNA’s strategy for the increased involvement and support of credit union volunteers in the system and to serve as a strategic leadership resource for CUNA, providing staff with advice and guidance for enhanced volunteer-centered initiatives.

Key responsibilities of Committee members includes analyzing and assisting in the development of optimal education/training solutions for volunteers, identifying strategies and tools for dealing with the issue of succession planning among volunteers, and identifying mechanisms for enhancing volunteer grassroots mobilization and political involvement.

Additional members of the Committee include: Jean Peterson (Chair), South Dakota; Doug Olson (Vice Chair), Wisconsin; Donald Baines, Pennsylvania; Frank Chinn, Oregon; Gary Chizmadia, New Jersey; Eric Day, California; Brad Douglas, Heartland; Ted Henifin, Virginia; Tara Leer, Idaho; Edward Marvin, Texas; and Jim Phelps, Cornerstone.
