Standing Room Only at the NJCUL 2018 Small Credit Union Conference

On Friday, June 8th, the New Jersey Credit Union League held its premier event, the Small Credit Union Conference, which was at maximum capacity. 

The content was derived from credit union’s to help with growth and future success.

The event had four sponsors: Alloya Corporate Credit Union, Vizo Financial, First Heritage Mortgage Services and FinEx Partners.

The conference kicked off with Vizo Financial’s Jeanne Heath leading a very informative and interactive session on building relationships, and sales in a service culture. Jeanne reviewed the key concepts as a review for attendees, and in a format enabling them to go back and train their staff members with.

Jeanne was followed by Murray Halperin, President of Biz Lending & Insurance Center, Inc. Murray provided information on the benefits of participations and the MBL/Commercial Loan Solutions, which was created in cooperation with NJCUL Services Corporation.

Deb Cohn and Robin Cooper from Vizo Financial took the stage for their sponsor spotlight, followed by Patrick Wade from First Heritage Mortgage Services.

During lunch, the group had a special treat as Blanche Jackson and Marisella Tovar from Stepping Stones Community Credit Union in Delaware discussed their success with the use of a mobile branch.

Following lunch was the third sponsor, Jon Roos from FinEx Partners, who introduced Tahir Hassan who came to the group via Zoom, discussing technology solutions.

Nicola Foggie, NJCUL's Vice President of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs was up next with Compliance Hot Topics.

Sandy Albertson from Alloya Corporate was the fourth sponsor spotlight and she introduced the final speaker, Mitzy Vivenzio. Mitzy’s topic, Exploring Strategies to Gain, Retain and Build Loyal Members touched on marketing the uniqueness of your credit union, technology and millennials.
