Credit unions from around the country have agreed to share their branch facilities to allow members to conduct personal financial transactions through a national shared branching network. By joining the CUSC Network, your members have access to over 2,200 branches nationwide. By using this network, members accounts remain at your own credit union. Members can access their credit union account and conduct business through any CUSC location. With so many convenient branch locations, your members will be able to access their account whenever they travel or even if they relocate hundreds of mile from your credit union. Member services at shared branching locations include: check and cash deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, account transfers, money orders, travelers checks and official checks. CO-OP - Surcharge Free ATM Network

The Largest Credit Union Owned ATM Network in the Country

It is not an option anymore - members expect to find an ATM they can use wherever and whenever they need one. More importantly, members do not want to pay a surcharge for accessing their money.

With more than 25,000 surcharge free ATMs nationwide, the CO-OP Network, operated by CO-OP Financial Services, is the most expansive credit union-owned ATM network in the nation.

Network Sponsorship Agreement

Through our Network Sponsorship Agreement, the New Jersey Credit Union League is able to offer New Jersey credit unions the ability to join the CO-OP Network without having to purchase stock. In addition, credit unions will receive substantial discounts on transaction fees, setup fees and annual fees.

National Surcharge Free Network

CO-OP Financial Services consists of 2,000 member credit unions across the country with a combined total of over 24 million cardholders. These cardholders enjoy surcharge-free access to more than 25,000 CO-OP Network ATMs at participating credit unions, convenience stores, airports, supermarkets, malls, and many other retail locations. Deposits are accepted at over 6,500 of these ATMs.

The 7-Eleven Connection

The CO-OP Network has network relationships with well-known convenience store chains, sporting high traffic locations and well-lit, 24 hour accessible ATMs. 7-Eleven is among the premier names in the CO-OP Network. More than 5,500 of the chain’s ATMs are part of the CO-OP ATM Network. Most of these ATMs are full service, deposit taking terminals available to your members at locations all throughout the country.

Where you Shop

CO-OP Network ATMs are available in many retail locations – gas stations, supermarkets and discount stores, such as K-Mart. This includes access to more than 800 ATMs in the Publix grocery Chain, as well as more than 1,000 ATMs at the Pantry and Cumberland Farms convenience stores up and down the east coast.

When You Travel

CO-OP Network branded ATMs are found in many major U.S. airports. They are exclusive at Los Angeles International, Salt Lake City International, and Denver International. In addition to airline employee credit unions, CO-OP has relationships with military and defense-related credit unions that provide ATM services for military personnel at bases in the U.S. and around the world.

Finding CO-OP Network ATMs

Members can identify a CO-OP Network ATM by the familiar logo on any ATM within the network. An online branch locator (www.co-opnetwork.org) provides locations within a 10 mile radius. Members may also dial a toll free number to reach an automated ATM locator service.

How To Join

Becoming a participant in CO-OP Network could not be easier. There are no data processing changes required or additional data communications links. The CO-OP Network already has access to virtually every national and regional network in which you participate and no conversion is required.

CO-OP Financial Services will provide all the consulting, project management, and training needed to fully participate in network membership.

Marketing Support

Location brochures, statement stuffers (including 7-Eleven/CO-OP Network promotional materials), brochures, Web banners, ads, in-branch promotions, and other marketing resources are available to raise CO-OP Network awareness among your membership and in your market area.

Custudentloans.org is a consumer facing portal connecting students in need of a private student loan with a network of credit unions. CUstudentloans is powered by Fynanz and is the industry’s leading private student lending network.

By offering private student loans, credit unions gain access to the younger population demographic. Private student loans will also allow credit unions to increase loan revenues, grow membership and promote financial awareness and credit union awareness. Network applicants who are not credit union members at time of application are prompted to select and join a participating credit union during the application process.

Fynanz is the only company in the private student loan marketplace who provides this service with no financial barriers to entry. In addition, Fynanz absorbs all the marketing costs of the program, focusing on the Direct to consumer channel, existing credit union member channel and also development of the school/university channel.

Solving the Counterfeit Check Problem

Advanced  Fraud Solution helps credit unions with the problem of counterfeit checks through their True Checks™ program.  

True Checks provides a proactive approach for identifying and stopping counterfeit fraud. By analyzing demand drafts, True Checks identifies counterfeit demand drafts and prevents kiting by providing frontline staff with information such as:

  • National and Regional counterfeit check and money order information
  • National and Regional Fraudulent account information
  • Fraudulent routing numbers

When a teller is presented a check, he or she can easily enter the check information into the True Checks system. True Checks then analyzes the check information, if the check has fraudulent information, then True Checks issues either an “alert” or a “denial.” An alert provides a teller with relevant information that assists in determining what type of hold to place on the check. A denial lets the teller know that the check should not be accepted under any circumstance. A denial is usually associated with known counterfeit accounts, counterfeit routing numbers or a customer history of check fraud.  True Checks constantly analyzes data to alert frontline personnel.
