...Save Money

The League has a slew of new Business Partners, solutions, and programs that help save you money, including affordable healthcare options, IT solutions, discounted services related to design, build, and marketing initiatives, and more.

...Build the New Jersey Credit Union Brand

The New Jersey Credit Union League’s statewide Banking You Can Trust consumer awareness campaign uses a number of mediums to raise awareness of credit unions across the state. It encompasses both traditional and digital advertising—including NJ Transit ads, cable commercials, radio ads and mentions, social media ads and more—as well as more grassroots initiatives that direct consumers to the Web site where visitors can find the New Jersey credit union that is right for them. Taking a fresh, new, more grassroots approach to advertising and marketing this past year, the League is using the stories of its credit unions to reach and connect with consumers. These stories and the New Jersey credit union brand are heard loud and clear over the NJ 101.5 airwaves, reaching 1 million listeners. The “Proud to Be Jersey” is a big credit union advocate and partner of the League. Consumers will also hear and see our statewide “crowdfund” campaign, which will drive loan applicants right to our credit unions.

...Grow Membership and Loans

Through the League and its NJCUL Services Corporation Business Partners, you'll find many solutions to grow membership, loans and non-interest income.

...Educate, Train, and Develop Professionals

NJCUL is your best resource for education. From relevant workshops to breakout sessions at conferences, we provide the content you need to grow your business. We offer virtual education to minimize your time out of the office and we work with the best webinar providers who deliver quality webinar training to the credit union community. If you have a training need and can’t find a packaged solution, we have the resources to design customized learning or put you in touch with other educational venues.

...Influence Lawmakers, Regulators, and Opinion Leaders

The League’s Governmental & Political Affairs is your voice, and first line of defense on Capitol Hill, and at the State House. It monitors, develops and advocates for (and against) legislation in Washington and Trenton and provides real-time political advocacy information and insight to NJCUL members to protect and enhance the operating environment of both state and federally chartered credit unions. It develops and maintains strong relationships with the state’s U.S. House and Senate delegations, as well as key state lawmakers ensuring effective credit union involvement in the public policy process.

...Engage Volunteers with Resources and Programs

Today’s credit union volunteers face many responsibilities, and meeting those responsibilities requires a firm grasp on credit union operations and board leadership as well as the credit union movement as a whole. Board Directors specifically hold a fiduciary role to stay abreast of changes in the financial environment and obtain education and knowledge to effectively make decisions on behalf of the credit union. Further, Board Directors have a regulatory duty to obtain and maintain financial education. NJCUL can help with low-cost education, training, and information solutions for volunteers that will fit your credit union’s budget.

...Network and Collaborate

Between its network of New Jersey credit unions, its Business Partners, and the Foundation, NJCUL membership encompasses a vast network of credit union industry experts, leaders, volunteers, employees, and more. And the League's events give all of these groups a chance to network and connect with one another. As demonstrated by our Small Credit Union Collaboration Group and our Young Professionals network, we tailor our networking groups to the specific needs of our credit unions. Our larger events, such as the Reality Check conference and the Foundation's Casino Night, give credit union folks of all backgrounds and levels the opportunity to mix, mingle, learn, and connect.

...Foster Community Financial Literacy

With powerful partnerships between the New Jersey Credit Union Foundation and the New Jersey Coalition for Financial Education on the local level as well as those with the National Credit Union Foundation and the Credit Union National Association, NJCUL gives its member credit unions opportunities to get trained and certified on financial counseling (at a discounted price), to reach members of the community (and potential members of the credit union) through the popular Reality Fairs program variousNew Jersey Coalition for Financial Education programs. All this raises the awareness of credit union throughout the state.
