South Jersey Federal Credit Union is seeking a Branch Manager

Branch Manager

Responsible for the overall operation and business development efforts of branch including coaching, supervising, developing and training staff, creating and analyzing monthly reports, implementing sales strategies, resolving issues and contributing to the strategic goals of the credit union.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes all daily functions of branch
  • Assists with the completion of financial and lending transactions
  • Acts as role model, participating in all required training, selling credit union products and services to membership and regularly coaching staff
  • Keeps abreast of changes and developments in financial industry.
  • Represents credit union at various community and networking events.
  • Evaluates, motivates, coaches, and supervises branch personnel regarding policy/procedure adherence, career advancement, attendance, performance and all other related personnel issues.
  • Supports the credit union’s staff development initiative for both staff and themselves through various methods.

Qualification Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience Branch or Assistant Branch Manager in financial institution
  • Prior experience generating leads for potential business, working in sales environment with monthly, daily, or weekly goal requirements
  • Experience attending events (Chamber of Commerce, Community events, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to sell financial products and services
  • Prior managerial experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and web
  • Advanced knowledge of management principles
  • Thorough knowledge of credit union policy, procedures and banking regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain professional and act as role model to staff
  • Ability to perform with minimal supervision and problem solve
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to multitask in fast paced environment
  • Available to travel to other branches and off-site company events when required
