Marketing Manager

North Jersey Federal Credit Union is seeking a Marketing Manager

Role: This position is responsible for managing all aspects of public relations, and marketing communication including tactical development, creative execution, product and media recommendations and measuring public relations and communications effectiveness. Additionally, this position manages all special events, marketing collateral including developing and implementing product brochures, member/affiliate communications- print/e-mail and Business Affiliate relationships. The goal of the marketing Manager is to increase loans, deposits, memberships and products per member.

 Major Duties and Responsibilities

Function:

Assists in developing the overall marketing communications / public relations tactical plan based on the marketing strategic plan.

Participate in creating and maintaining North Jersey FCU brand awareness through marketing campaigns, events, print advertising and social media efforts.

Develops concepts and copy for our marketing communications campaigns. Monitor materials for consistent internal and external use, including document templates, graphics, language, tone, fonts, etc.

Works with designer to develop all marketing creative and assists in creating

Project manages marketing, advertising, public relations and event efforts from conception to completion.

Analyzes our public relations/advertising and social media effectiveness, as they relate to the cost benefit of increasing membership and/or loan products and deposits.

Works to maintain and improve our NJFCU.org website, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

Develops and implements newsletters for our members, business affiliates and potential members using both print and e-mail.

Works with Operations to incorporate our product’s advertising message into their programs.

Develops primary market research and competitors’ intelligence.

Develop tactical plan and manage our special events based on the marketing strategic plan.

EXPECTATIONS:

1.   To carry out assigned responsibilities according to established department standards.

2.   To assist Marketing Director in achieving North Jersey FCU’s planned market share, assets, loans, and

       other product/service objectives.

3.   To ensure communication elements are accurate, timely and within budget guidelines.

4.   To provide informed, prompt, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.

Knowledge and Skills

 Experience / Education 

  • College degree (BS or BA in a relevant field)
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relation preferred
  • 2-4 years marketing experience with a focus on content strategy execution, including social media management, content creation and project management. 

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • · Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • · Knowledge of how to operate Constant Contact and be able to maneuver in Illustrator design software.
  • · CRM knowledge a plus
  • · Exceptional written/verbal communication skills,
  • · Ability to work independently and use independent judgment
  •   Ability to work and maintain relationships with a wide range of consultants and business partners
  •   Ability to diplomatically and collaboratively work in fast-paced team setting
  •   Ability to multi-task and problem-solve
  • · Analytical – understanding of data and how to use it to improve marketing results.
  • · Social Media Savvy – ability to create posts, monitor and respond to comments and analyze data on all company social platforms
  • · Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • · Ability to work within brand/creative standards for copywriting and editing
  • · Ability to speak and write in Spanish a plus.

Physical Requirements

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely

attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Mental and/or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
