Three Southern Credit Unions Come Together to Bring Reality Fair Program Back to the Wallace School

VINELAND, N.J. – Bay Atlantic FCU, Members 1st of NJ FCU, and Thunderbolt Area FCU teamed up once again to bring the hands-on financial literacy experience to students at The Wallace School in Vineland. This is the sixth Reality Fair held at the middle school.

From left to right: NJ CU Foundation Executive Director Marissa Anema, Members 1st of NJ FCU Director of Marketing Lizzy Kennedy, Wallace School Resource Program Director Shonda Johnston, Bay Atlantic FCU President/CEO Gail Marino, and Thunderbolt Area FCU President/CEO Bob Millard. The Foundation and three collaborating credit unions honored Johnston for her outstanding coordination of the Reality Fair program.  

Reality Fair volunteers from the three credit unions as well as Credit Union of New Jersey, Deepwater Industries FCU, Jersey Shore FCU, the New Jersey Credit Union League, and staff from the school manned the various lifestyle booths and helped more than 200 students make financial choices during the Fair held in the school’s gym.

The students then sat with financial counselors, also volunteers from the credit unions, to go over the experience.
