Members 1st of NJ, Bay Atlantic and Thunderbolt Area FCU Bring the Reality Fair Program Back to Bridgeton High School, Helping More Than 150 Students Reach Their Financial Goals

BRIDGETON, N.J. – Spring is in the air and with the harsh winter hopefully behind us, the Reality Fair Program has been underway with more than 10 Fairs happening this season. Last Friday, over 150 students gathered at Bridgeton High School, taking part and being advised in the school’s financial Reality Fair.

Students being advised by Lizzy Kennedy from Members 1st of New Jersey Federal Credit Union.

The students met in the school’s media center and were briefed by volunteers and faculty on the experience. They were then set free in the library to use their customized budget worksheets to make financial, lifestyle choices while visiting the available booths.

With a little help from credit union volunteers from sponsoring credit unions, Members 1st of NJ FCU, Bay Atlantic FCU, and Thunderbolt Area FCU, area credit unions, and the League, students made life choices, filling out their budget worksheets, then sitting down with financial counselors to go over the experience.
