Senator Menendez Names New Legislative Director

U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) has named Rebecca Schatz as his new Legislative Director. Schatz has been serving as his legislative counsel and has covered the senator’s financial services and housing portfolios on the Senate Banking Committee. She has been the primary contact for the New Jersey Credit Union League (NJCUL) in the Senator’s office.

Before joining Sen. Menendez’s staff in September 2015, she served as a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and a law fellow at the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. While completing her legal studies, she served clerkships in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Air Force and Office of the Administration General Counsel in the Executive Office of the President.

Schatz completed her undergraduate studies at George Washington University and earned her law degree from the Washington College of Law at American University.
