Congressman Kim to Hold Town Hall Meeting Saturday in Cinnaminson

On Saturday, March 23rd at 1 p.m., Rep. Andy Kim (D-3) will hold a town hall meeting to report on efforts in Congress to lower health care costs, pass campaign finance and ethics reform, and protect critical funding for Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

“My constituents are my boss, and our town halls are a great opportunity to hear directly from the people of New Jersey on how I can better do my job in serving them,” said Rep. Kim. “I look forward to listening to our neighbors and bringing their ideas and concerns back to Congress to get things done.”

This town hall is the third held since he took office in January and is part of a monthly series to allow Kim to hear directly from constituents throughout New Jersey’s Third District.

The Town Hall will be held in the Cinnaminson Community Center, 1621 Riverton Road, (at the corner of Riverton Road and Manor Road) in Cinnaminson.

The NJCUL met with Kim in early February and again with his chief of staff last week during the GAC Hike the Hill.

The discussions focused on credit union’s in New Jersey and their priorities for the 116th Congress including common-sense regulation, the need for the Department of Justice to issue Americans with Disabilities Act (ACA) Web site compliance rules, the ongoing problem of merchant data breaches and the need to subject retailers to the same data security requirements as card issuers, and issues relating to NCUA’s treatment of taxi medallion loans and participations.
