O’Shea Named to NYC Taxi Medallion Task Force

Aspire FCU President/CEO Tom O’Shea has been appointed to serve on the Taxi Medallion Sale Prices Task Force as a lending institution representative. He was appointed last week by Speaker Corey Johnson of the New York City Council.

The taxi medallion task force was created to evaluate how the taxi medallion industry evolved and how the city can best administer and govern the industry.

“I look forward to serving on this task force and doing what I can to help medallion owners,” O’Shea said. “I want to thank Speaker Johnson for appointing me.”

O’Shea serves on a number of industry committees including CUNA’s Credit Union Powers Subcommittee, both the NJCUL’s Legislative Committee and Political and Legislative Action Network (PLAN), and as New Jersey’s CULAC trustee, where he is a member of the Executive Committee.

He served two terms on the CFPB’s Credit Union Advisory Council.
