NJ Named One of Least Friendly States

According to a Big 7 Travel survey released this week, New Jersey ranks 46th when it comes to friendliness. So how does the home to HBO’s series “The Sopranos” stack up against its neighbors? “Fuhgeddaboudit.” New Jersey came in just four spots higher than New York, which ranked dead last, and two spots higher than Delaware which ranked 48th. Pennsylvania, home to the City of Brotherly Love, ranked 18th besting the Garden State by 28 spots.

The travel website says it asked its social media followers (estimated to be about 1.5 million people) “what are the friendliest states in America?”

Based on the responses, the survey concluded “The Jersey attitude can be perceived as just outright rudeness. And in this survey, it seems as though that’s definitely the case. New Jerseyans are known for their in-your-face personalities. But, at least the (probably unfriendly) station attendant will pump your gas for you.”
