CU Advocates to Meet Today with Congressman Van Drew

Credit union advocates will meet this afternoon with Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-2) in his Mays Landing district office. Topics to be discussed will include data security, cannabis banking, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 and housing finance reform.

The League schedules in-districts meetings with members of state’s congressional delegation to enable credit union advocates to meet with their representatives in Congress without having to travel to Washington. In addition to tomorrow’s meeting with Van Drew, credit union advocates met last week with Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr, (D-9) in Paterson, Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-7) in Somerville and Rep. Frank Pallone (D-6) in Long Branch.

The meetings are open to all NJCUL member credit unions. Anyone interested in participating should contact NJCUL Vice President of Corporate & Governmental Affairs Chris Abeel at cabeel@njcul.org or 800-792-8861, ext. 127.
