Senate Committees to Discuss Data Security, Affordable Housing this Week, House in Recess

The U.S. House is in recess this week for a district work period. The Senate remains in session with two committee hearings of interest to credit unions.

Today at 2:30 p.m., the Senate Judiciary crime and terrorism subcommittee will conduct a hearing, “How Corporations and Big Tech Leave Our Data Exposed to Criminals, China and Other Bad Actors.”

On Thursday at 10:00 a.m. the Senate Banking Committee will conduct a hearing, “Examining Bipartisan Bills to Promote Affordable Housing Access and Safety.”

Both hearings will also be live-streamed, and CUNA representatives will be in attendance.
