NJCUL Hosts Second Town Hall Meeting in Rahway for Members Regarding New Organization

RAHWAY, N.J. – NJCUL Chairman Andy Jaeger and President/CEO David Frankil led a Town Hall Meeting for NJCUL-member credit unions at Luciano’s in Rahway on Friday to provide an overview of the plan for the new organization with the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association (PCUA). PCUA President/CEO Patrick Conway also addressed the group.

NJCUL Board member Steve Lardiere and PCUA Chairman Jeff DeBree were also in attendance as well as NJCUL SVP of Credit Union Solutions Robin Brunner and VP of Corporate and Government Affairs Chris Abeel.

Frankil provided an overview of why the two organizations are exploring this combination, and how it presents a compelling opportunity to leverage assets and scale with the new organization’s visions and value for members, and more.

“This combination of equals will create a new, vibrant organization that provides compelling Member value,” Frankil stated, “Becoming one of the largest regional trade associations in the country will enable us to offer more value to credit unions of all sizes.”

NJCUL Member CUs that were unable to attend last week’s Town Hall Meetings have the opportunity to hear from NJCUL on two additional dates. Join us on Thursday, April 18th for a Town Hall Webinar and/or on Wednesday, April 24th for a Town Hall Meeting at the NJCUL Office in Hightstown. 

The membership of both NJCUL and PCUA must vote in favor of the transaction for it to be consummated. NJCUL membership voting packets were sent to CEOs/Managers last week. Voting will open May 1st and close on May 15th.
