John Hendery to Retire from NJCUL

HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. – New Jersey Credit Union League Senior Credit Union Services Consultant John Hendery will retire from the NJCUL as of December 31, 2016.

Hendery began working with credit unions in 1980 as an Account Representative for CUNA Mutual Group. In January 2006, he transitioned his employment to the New Jersey Credit Union League as a Business Consultant. In 2015, Hendery became the League’s Senior Credit Union Services Consultant, spending a good portion of his time consulting with member credit unions during field visits, facilitating strategic planning sessions, listening to everyday challenges, and talking about solutions.

“John has worked diligently to establish and maintain strong relationships with the League’s member credit unions and the League’s business partners,” said NJCUL President/CEO David Frankil. “Over the course of his career in the industry, John has become well-known and well-respected amongst his peers amongst credit unions, our business partners, and our staff here at NJCUL. He will be missed.”

“Working with all of you, credit unions and co-workers alike, has afforded me the luxury of collaborating with some of the finest and most talented people in the credit union industry,” said Hendery. “It certainly has been an incredible journey. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your lives. My priority has always been to bring trust and value to everyone that I’ve engaged with over the years. Hopefully I came close to accomplishing that in some way. It’s hard to put in words how much working with all of you has meant to me. For many, I’ve been blessed to call you my friends and hope we stay in touch.

“As I say farewell, I’d be remiss if I didn’t encourage all of you to stay connected with your League. The NJCUL is truly a remarkable resource and will continue its relentless pursuit of adding value, relevance and bringing realistic solutions to NJ credit unions. I wish all the best everyone!”
