Marissa Anema Named Vice President of Marketing & Communications for NJCUL

HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. – Marissa Anema has been named Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the New Jersey Credit Union League.

Anema began her career at the League in 2010 as Marketing and Communications Assistant. As her responsibilities expanded, Anema was named Marketing and Communications Coordinator in 2012. When the League’s marketing department launched a Banking You Can Trust internship program, Anema took on a managerial role.

Since May of 2015, Anema has been leading the League’s marketing department and its initiatives, including the launch of two new Web sites earlier this year and the League’s new Legacy Series.

Anema also currently serves as Executive Director of the New Jersey Credit Union Foundation where she runs the Foundation’s successful Reality Fair program and coordinates the Foundation’s fundraising activities. She also serves as board member of the New Jersey Coalition for Financial Education.

“When you look at the opportunities and challenges facing both our industry and the League, there is no question that strategic marketing is critical to our success,” said NJCUL President/CEO David Frankil. “Marissa has distinguished herself with leadership on marketing initiatives that touch nearly everything we do, as well as her work on the Foundation, Banking You Can Trust, and related activities. It is truly a pleasure to be able to recognize her hard work and passion for credit unions.”
