Dr. Randy Thompson Facilitates Risk-Based Pricing Tools Review for Board of Directors/Volunteers

HIGHTSTOWN, N.J – On Wednesday, January 11, New Jersey credit union directors and volunteers gathered at the NJCUL office for a risk-based pricing tools review facilitated by Dr. Randy Thompson of TCT Risk Solutions.

Attendees learned how to balance risk management with the responsibility to reach out and help members. Topics discussed included:

  • The importance of identifying and quantifying costs related to lending;
  • Elements of compliant, effective lending policies;
  • How to apply risk-based pricing in a credit union;
  • How risk-based pricing can expand the ability to serve an expanded portion of members; and
  • Strategies for managing risk, improving earnings and increasing equity.
