Research 1166 FCU Staff Help Build House for Homeless Vet with Habitat for Humanity

DEPTFORD, N.J. – Marci Brozi and Ashlee Bush, staff members of Research 1166 FCU, recently joined a group over 50 female volunteers that assisted Habitat for Humanity, a SEG of the credit union, build a house for a homeless vet.

The build was part of Habitat for Humanity’s National Women's Build Week, an event that draws 17,000 women nationally and thousands in donations from its sponsor Lowe's Heroes.

Rosa Pineiro, 28, is set to move in to the Tanyard Road house in Deptford some time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The U.S. Marine Corps veteran served two tours in Afghanistan, the first as a machine gunner and the second working as a welder.

"I never thought I would be a homeowner," Pineiro said.
