Bay Atlantic FCU and Local Rotary Club’s Hunger Project Helps Feed Local Families

More than 20,000 Local Families to Benefit from Meals Prepared

VINELAND, N.J. – Over 100 volunteers, including those from Bay Atlantic FCU, packed more than 100,000 meals on Sunday, June 11th, for distribution through food pantries to local families at the Rotary Club of Vineland’s Hunger Project held at the Vineland Salvation Army Building.

Rotary membership chair and Bay Atlantic FCU President/CEO Gail Marino did most of the recruiting of scores of Rotary members and volunteers from other organizations to do the work.

“There was a tremendous outpouring from the community wanting to volunteer; unfortunately, we even had to turn a few people away,” she said. “Everybody was anxious to help our neighbors who are challenged.”

SNJToday highlighted the event in an article and video.
