Thunderbolt Area FCU Collects Over 250 Pounds of Food for Local Community Through Kid-Friendly Food Drive

Five credit unions in southern New Jersey joined together to collect donations of Kid-Friendly Food from May 1 through July 31. Through this initiative, Thunderbolt Area FCU collected over 250 pounds of food for local children in need.

All credit unions requested donations of the most needed items which included peanut butter and jelly, canned pastas and soups, macaroni and cheese, pasta, cereals, oatmeal, pancake mix, granola bars, fruit cups, pudding cups, snack boxes of raisins and cranberries, and juice boxes.

Those participating include Bay Atlantic Federal Credit Union (aiding Salvation Army in Vineland), Campbell Employees Federal Credit Union (aiding Food Bank of South Jersey), Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union (aiding Community Food Bank of NJ Southern Branch), Members 1st of NJ Federal Credit Union (also aiding Community Food Bank of NJ Southern Branch), and Thunderbolt Area Federal Credit Union (aiding Help and Hope Ministries Food Pantry).
