NJ DNA Get Technical

The NJ DNA Group took a bold step at yesterday’s dinner meeting held live at two locations:  NJCUL Headquarters in Hightstown, NJ and at 1st Bergen FCU  in Hackensack, NJ.

The meeting topic was Strategic Planning with the speaker, Jim Kasch, coming to us via Zoom!

David Frankil addressed the group proving an overview of the League’s vision and direction and stated that we truly are a catalyst for our members success which influences everything we do. Frankil shared some key initiatives the League is working on and provided details about our Annual Meeting opening speaker, Lisa Servon.

1st Bergen CEO, Rob Moore shared the origins of his credit union (chartered in 2009).  He provided an overview of  their sponsor Greater Bergen Community Action and how it benefits the community.  Moore introduced Allan DeGiulio, Board Chair who shared additional facts about their sponsor.  After a light meal, Barbara Agin introduced the speaker, Jim Kasch.   Kasch, Founder and CEO of Canidae Consulting, delivered a wealth of information on the strategic planning process.  He covered the purpose and planning cycle to questions that must be answered during every step of the process to the components of the written plan.  His perspective was much appreciated by all.

Agin thanked the speaker, attendees and 1st Bergen FCU for hosting.  Agin stated that future meetings could be 100% virtual allowing  attendees to zoom in from their credit union board room or from their home.  This technology should allow for more engagement from credit union boards.

The next meeting date will be November 8th .
