Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union Raises $500 for K9 Warriors Inc. of Galloway, N.J.

On Thursday, January 25th, Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union’s Social Action Committee presented a check for $500 to Gabriel Ruiz, Founder and CEO of K9 Warriors Inc. to help with the cost of training K9s for combat veterans in the area. All credit union employees wear jeans on Fridays and that money funded this donation.

Mr. Ruiz stated, “I’m so appreciative and honored for what the credit union donated to our organization.” Mr. Ruiz mentioned that he likes to keep things local, he’s a local veteran and he loves his community. He also talked with staff and shared a lot about his organization and how he’s come to do what he does.

One of the many things that sets this organization apart is that Mr. Ruiz and all of his staff are all combat veterans themselves, down to the Board of Directors. All of the funds they raise go to training the K9s for the various skills they will need to be successful in helping the combat veteran they are paired with. The veteran does not pay for anything. All training, food, vet visits, etc. are covered by K9 Warriors Inc. In addition, what sets their training apart is that the veteran does all of the training with help from K9 Warriors to ensure bonding with their K9.

A sincere thank you is extended to the staff of Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union.
