Advanced Financial FCU Holds Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at New Scotch Plains Branch

SCOTCH PLAINS, N.J. – Advanced Financial FCU held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting celebration of the its new Scotch Plains branch on Wednesday.

Mayor Al Smith, Deputy Mayor Josh Losardo, Council members Elizabeth Stamler and Roc White and other local business and civic leaders were on hand to celebrate the opening of the new Advanced Financial Federal Credit Union office at 320 Park Ave. 
 
"Let me welcome officially welcome you to Scotch Plains," said Mayor Al Smith.

Al Feigenbaum, CEO of Advanced Financial, which now has five branches in New Jersey, explained to the crowd that their differentiator is their customer service. 

"We have all services that banks would have. We are different because of our personalized service," Feigenbaum told the crowd. "We are family. We are locally run, and you can interact with local decision makers."

Feigenbaum highlighted the credit union's free checking and many different loan products, including mortgages, home equity loans, auto loans, commercial lending and construction loans. 

"The members of credit unions are shareholders," said Advanced Financial's chairman Arthur Marquardt. "Our Board members don't get paid."
