Garden Savings FCU Raises $12,500 for Children’s Specialized Hospital in 2016

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Garden Savings FCU recently donated $5,000 to Children’s Specialized Hospital. This is in addition to the $7,500 the credit union raised for the hospital at its annual golf outing this past July, bringing the grand total of funds raised to $12,500 in 2016. The credit union raises money all year long by encouraging staff to wear jeans on Fridays in exchange for a $5 monthly contribution that goes to the charitable organization. The executive team of Garden Savings also participates and provides a $20 monthly contribution.

Nicole Fulmino of Children’s Specialized Hospital is presented with a check for a grand total of $12,500
from Garden Savings FCU President and CEO Lou Vetere.

“Children’s Miracle Network and the Children’s Specialized Hospital continue to do fantastic, altruistic work for children that need help more than most of us could possibly imagine,” said Garden Savings President and CEO, Lou Vetere. “They are the premier provider of pediatric health care in the United States and do a tremendous amount of caring and devoted work. This organization treats thousands of children each year and they work to make their lives exponentially better. We are happy to play whatever part we can in supporting their ongoing success with this contribution. We hope to be able to equal or surpass our 2016 contribution in the coming year.”

The check was presented to Nicole Fulmino of Children’s Specialized Hospital, who recently honored Garden Savings at the New Jersey Credit Union League convention, as their top New Jersey credit union supporter for the previous year. Garden Savings will continue with their “jeans on Fridays” fundraising efforts throughout 2017 and plans to host their 7th annual golf outing this coming summer.
