The New Jersey Credit Union Foundation wants to help you and your staff become more confident in helping members build a stronger financial future. CUNA’s Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP) is designed for credit union staff who work in the financial counseling, collections, and loan departments, or any other staff members who are committed to helping members gain control of their financial future. Staff successfully completing the program will earn the Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation.

This webinar-based Enhanced FiCEP session will begin on January 14 and conclude on May 1, 2020. It includes:

  • Exclusive access to the Enhanced FiCEP Student Portal
  • Eight module workbooks, presented in print format to be read at the student’s pace prior to webinar viewing
  • Eight 60 to 75-minute tutorial webinars to recap and highlight your reading of each module
  • Recorded archives of all webinars
  • Two live, in-person trainings with review, role playing, best practices, and idea sharing (lunch is included)
  • Online practice quizzes
  • Test administration, with two online tests of 100 questions each – one mid-term and one at final
  • Link to take-away tool kits for tracking methods and program implementation starter tips

All credit unions embrace the mission of helping members make wise financial decisions. Through Enhanced FiCEP, your credit union can stand out among financial institutions as a trusted resource for financial counseling. This program is a great way to build solid partnerships with other community resources. Credit unions that have implemented FiCEP have enhanced their services by:

  • Providing proven financial counseling skills that become a part of your credit union’s culture
  • Ensuring the value of your credit union through a certification that satisfies members’ needs
  • Differentiating your credit union with certified financial counselors on your team
  • Helping members transform the way they deal with money through real-world counseling

FiCEP is a benefit to your staff and to your members. Click here to learn more about the program and to register. The deadline to register is December 15.
