Don’t Forget to Submit Your 2020 Scholarship and Awards Applications

Applications for the 2020 awards and scholarships and nominations for the Lifetime Achievement Awards are now being accepted through January 17, 2020. Don’t miss your chance to shine the spotlight on the great work your credit union and its employees, as well as its volunteers, have done throughout 2019.

The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Awards are a great way to recognize the leaders of your credit union and of the movement. The William W. Pratt Lifetime Award is presented annually to an outstanding professional involved in daily credit union operations. The nominee must be a full-time CEO or direct report at a member credit union. The person should be in good standing in the community, understand the credit union philosophy, promote the credit union idea, and actively demonstrate loyalty to the credit union movement. Nominate your CEO today.

The volunteer of the year award has been renamed to the Calvin H. Jackson Lifetime Achievement Award in memory of the dedicated credit union volunteer, Calvin Jackson. Jackson was a 1997 Montclair State University graduate, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a self-employed general contractor, and a trustee and manager at St. James A.M.E Church Credit Union. It is presented annually to a credit union volunteer who has selflessly given time, effort, and talent to the betterment of the movement with little or no monetary compensation. The nominee should be in good standing in the community, a person who understands and works to promote the credit union philosophy, and who has demonstrated loyalty to the credit union movement. Only activities conducted as a volunteer will be considered for former employees of a member credit union. Nominate one of your board members today.

In addition to honoring the careers of credit union leaders, there are multiple applications available for scholarships to our annual events: CrossState Annual Convention, Fall Leadership Conference, and CrossState Leadership School (formerly Judge/Bradley). Winning one of these competitive scholarships gives you the chance to improve your professional development skills at no cost to your credit union.
